Add onions and cook till lightly brown, dump in potato and stir together. Cover and cook till potatoes are almost done, about 20 to 25 minutes in 350 degrees. Add mushrooms cover and cook for 5 minutes. Add soup and cook for 5 minutes more heating all the way through. Remove from heat, spread cheese over the top, cover and let stand till cheese melts.
